How to Choose a Nail Color You'll Love

The color wall can be a lot. There are so many good options, and it's easy to freeze up. Here are a few ways we help guests narrow it down.
Think about the next two weeks
What's on your calendar? A work trip, a wedding, a regular few weeks at home? Sheers and soft neutrals go with just about everything. Deep reds and berries feel special without being loud. Brights are fun when you want a little mood boost.
Look at your jewelry
If you tend to wear gold, warmer tones often feel natural. If you tend to wear silver, cooler shades can look really lovely. This isn't a rule, just a nice place to start.
Try the swatch on your hand
Colors look different in the bottle than they do on the nail, and next to your skin. Ask your tech to paint a swatch on your nail before officially deciding. It helps a lot.
Not sure? Go sheer
A sheer pink or milky finish is one of our most requested looks for a reason. It's clean, it grows out gracefully, and it looks good on every skin tone.
Seasonal favorites
- Fall: warm browns, olive, deep plum, burgundy
- Winter: rich reds, soft chrome, dark navy
- Spring: soft pastels, butter yellow, sheer pink
- Summer: brights, corals, crisp white
At the end of the day, the best color is the one that makes you smile when you look down at your hands.
