The Waterless Pedicure
Every pedicure at Soleil is waterless. No soaking tubs, no jets, no shared water — just a cleaner service that treats your skin and nails better and holds its polish far longer.
Book NowWhat it actually is
A waterless pedicure is a full pedicure performed without soaking your feet. Instead of a tub, we cleanse and hydrate the skin with professional products and hot towels, then do all of the nail and cuticle work dry. You still get steam, a scrub, a masque and a massage in our full service — the difference is that your feet are never sitting in standing water.
It is the standard in most modern, education-forward studios, and it is the only way we do pedicures here. Every single service ends with hot towels and a lotion massage — no exceptions, no matter which pedicure you book.
Why we do it this way
Cleaner, full stop
Soaking tubs and jets are the hardest thing in a salon to truly disinfect. No tub means there is nothing shared to disinfect in the first place.
Polish that lasts
Nails absorb water and expand. Polish applied to a swollen nail lifts and chips as it dries back down. Dry nails hold their shape, so the finish stays put.
Better for your skin barrier
A long hot soak strips natural oils and leaves skin drier than it started. We hydrate at the end instead of stripping at the beginning.
More precise cuticle work
Softened, waterlogged skin tears and hides where the true cuticle line sits. Working on dry skin is cleaner and grows out better.
Clean air to go with it
We are a low-odor studio — no acrylic monomer anywhere in the building. Clean water and clean air are the same decision.
It saves real water
A traditional pedicure can use several gallons per client. Ours uses a fraction of that. In a desert state like Utah, that adds up fast across a full book of clients.
Zero-gravity comfort
Our chairs recline to full zero gravity, which takes pressure off your back and puts your feet at a height that is better for your artist too. Any service with a spa portion is done in full zero gravity.
What the appointment looks like
Consultation
We look at your nails and skin first — calluses, ingrown edges, anything sensitive — and agree on the plan before anything starts.
Sanitation & setup
Fresh implements out of the autoclave pouch, a clean single-use liner, and your feet cleansed with a professional foot cleanser instead of a shared tub.
Removal
Existing polish or gel is filed back gently and soaked off, taking as long as it needs to.
Dry cuticle work
Cuticle work is done dry. Skin that has not been waterlogged holds its true shape, so the work is more precise and grows out cleaner.
Shaping, trim and file
Nails cut and shaped to your natural free edge, with attention to corners so nothing digs in later.
Callus treatment
A professional softener worked into heels and pressure points, then smoothed back. We reduce calluses — we never shave them off.
Spa steps (The Soleil Spa Treatment)
Your chair reclines to full zero gravity for this part: steam, the SpaRitual body scrub, the Earl Grey detoxifying mud masque under the steamers, and an extended massage with SpaRitual body creme. Skipped on the Basic if you would rather be in and out.
Polish
Gel cured under a professional lamp, or lamp-free Dazzle Dry. Dry skin and nails mean the polish bonds properly.
Hot towels and a lotion massage
Every single service at Soleil ends the same way — hot towels and a lotion massage. No matter which pedicure you booked.

Questions we get
- Does a waterless pedicure feel less relaxing?
- Most clients say the opposite. The steam towel, scrub, masque and extended massage in The Soleil Spa Treatment do the relaxing part — the soak was never what made it feel good.
- How do my feet get clean without soaking?
- We cleanse the feet with a professional foot cleanser and hot towels at the start, and steam is part of The Soleil Spa Treatment. Nothing is skipped.
- Is it safe if I am diabetic or have sensitive feet?
- Waterless is generally the safer choice — no shared water and no long soak softening skin that is already fragile. Tell us at booking so we can adjust pressure and skip anything aggressive.
- How long does it last?
- Gel toes typically look good for three to four weeks and Dazzle Dry wears up to two weeks. Callus treatment is best kept up every four to six weeks — a good foot cream most nights keeps the smoothness between visits instead of letting it build back.
- Can I still get a regular polish instead of gel?
- Yes. On pedicures we use Dazzle Dry, a lamp-free system that dries hard in about five minutes and wears up to two weeks — including during pregnancy or if you are avoiding UV. Dazzle Dry is a pedicure-only service at Soleil.
