Policies

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be charged 100% of the service cost to the card on file. Emergencies/sick guests will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

If you are running late, please let us know as soon as possible! We have a 15 minute grace period. If you are running later than 15 minutes, we will need to reschedule your service, and you will be subject to the $50 reschedule fee. Any guests who are more than 15 minutes late and do not reschedule their appointment will be charged our 100% cancellation fee to the card on file, as that will be considered a “no-show”.

If you need to reschedule your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Appointments rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be charged a flat $50 reschedule fee to the card on file. If the rescheduled appointment isn't booked within 72 hours of the original appointment time, our 100% cancellation fee will be charged for the original appointment. Emergencies/sick guests will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Appointment Holds

If an appointment is booked without a card on file, we'll hold it until 5:00 PM (Mountain Time) on the day the appointment is made. If a card isn't added by 5:00 PM, the appointment will be released and become available for other clients to book. To keep your spot secured, please add a card on file before the 5:00 PM cutoff. Once it's added, your appointment is fully confirmed.

Additional Guests & Service Animals

Our studio is intentionally designed to be calm, spacious, and safe for the guests receiving services. Extra guests (even if not children) can crowd the studio, block walkways, and disrupt the relaxed experience we work hard to create. For that reason, we ask that you arrive solo for your scheduled service.

Nail studios aren't a safe or comfortable environment for children or babies. Even in a clean, professional space, there are everyday elements that aren't kid-friendly, including harmful chemicals, dust, sharp tools, and spill risks. We love little ones, however babies in the studio can unintentionally affect the quality and safety of your service. When a baby is held in a lap during a manicure or pedicure, it can limit your ability to sit comfortably and stay still, increase the chance of accidental contact with tools or products, and make it difficult for your tech to maintain consistent posture and precision. To protect your experience (and everyone's safety), babies and children must not accompany appointments. If a child or baby is brought into our space as an additional guest and childcare is unavailable, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment and be charged our $50 reschedule fee. If you're in a season where childcare is unpredictable, we get it — please reach out before booking and we'll do our best to help you find a time that works.

The health department doesn't allow furry friends in any cosmetology facility. Per Utah R392, Health and Human Services, Population Health, Environmental Health, R392-702 Cosmetology Facility Sanitation R392-702-11 (6)(a): only service animals assisting persons with disabilities are permitted in a cosmetology facility. Pets, emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy animals are not permitted.

Zero Tolerance

Soleil Nail Studio is a safe, inclusive space where everyone is welcome, regardless of background, identity, or walk of life. We uphold a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech, discrimination, derogatory language, racism, bigotry, or any form of inappropriate behavior. This standard applies to all individuals within the studio — including clients, apprentices, and staff. Anyone engaging in such behavior will be asked to leave immediately and may be denied future services. We are committed to fostering an environment built on respect, kindness, and acceptance.

Soleil Nail Studio maintains a strict no smoking, vaping, or drug use policy within the studio and surrounding premises. This includes but is not limited to tobacco, marijuana, vaping devices, and any illegal substances. We are committed to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all clients and staff. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate dismissal from the premises and may lead to refusal of future services.

Apprentice Services

Soleil Nail Studio offers select services performed by apprentices who are in training and are not yet licensed nail technicians. Apprentice services are discounted and are clearly labeled as “Apprentice Services” at booking. Apprentice appointments are a great option for guests who want to support education and receive a service at a reduced rate.

By booking an Apprentice Service, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Supervised training environment: all apprentice services are performed with the apprentice's instructor on-site. The instructor may observe, coach, and/or step in as needed.
  • Service timing and results may vary: because apprentices are building speed, consistency, and technique, your appointment may take longer than a standard service and the final result may vary.
  • Increased likelihood of cosmetic imperfections: compared to services performed by fully licensed technicians, apprentice services may have a higher likelihood of uneven shaping or finish, shorter wear time, minor cosmetic imperfections, or additional time needed for corrections.
  • Inherent risks of nail services: nail services involve tools and products that may cause irritation or sensitivity. While we follow strict sanitation and safety standards, there is still inherent risk with any nail service.

By booking and receiving an Apprentice Service at Soleil Nail Studio, you voluntarily choose to receive services from an apprentice who is not yet licensed and you assume the risks associated with that choice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release and hold harmless Soleil Nail Studio, its owners, team members, instructors, and apprentices from claims, demands, damages, or liability arising out of or related to an Apprentice Service, including (but not limited to) dissatisfaction with cosmetic results, service duration, or wear time.

Refund & Nail Mend Policy

At Soleil Nail Studio, we are deeply committed to providing high-quality services and a positive experience for every guest. Because of this commitment, we do not offer refunds for services rendered.

Instead, we believe in doing things the right way — not the easy way. If for any reason you're not satisfied with your service, we would love the opportunity to make it right through a complimentary adjustment or redo. Our priority is to ensure you leave feeling confident and cared for, and we are always happy to discuss how we can best resolve any concerns.

If you experience any issues, please reach out to us within 14 days of your appointment so we can promptly address the situation. Mends completed within 7 days of the original appointment will be complimentary, whereas mends completed past 7 days (and up to 14 days) of the original appointment are subject to a $5 charge per nail.

We appreciate your trust and understanding, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

No Foreign Fills

To protect your natural nail health and ensure we can stand behind your results, we don't offer fills on enhancements done by another salon or outside technician (foreign work). Because we didn't create the original set, we can't verify the products used, the structure, or what's happening underneath (like lifting or trapped moisture), which can lead to retention and infection issues.

What to book instead: please book a Removal + New Set / Naked Manicure. If you're unsure what you have, send us a clear photo and we'll guide you.

Parking

We offer free, first-come-first-served parking in the lot behind our studio. The lot is accessed through the alley on the west side of the building (by EATS Bakery).

Please park only in spaces that have a red sign with no business name listed.

To avoid towing or inconveniencing our neighbors, do not park:

  • In the west lot to the right side of the alleyway entrance, behind the apartment building (reserved for the neighboring apartment)
  • In any spaces marked with a business name

We also have paid parking available on the street in front of our studio and in the parking garage behind our building, right past the free parking lot.

Right to Refuse Service

At Soleil Nail Studio, the health and safety of our clients and team are our top priorities. Our staff reserves the right to respectfully refuse service to anyone for any reason, including situations where there are signs of compromised nail or skin integrity such as infection, fungus, open wounds, severe damage, or compromised nail integrity. We may also decline requests for services that could risk further harm to the natural nails or overall health, as well as in cases of behavior that is disrespectful, unsafe, or disruptive to our team or other clients. If we determine that a service cannot be safely performed, we will always explain our reasoning and may recommend alternative services or solutions, or refer you to a medical professional if needed. Thank you for understanding and helping us maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all.
